Eric Pierni, MA, CSAT, RP opened Men Therapy Toronto in 2016 with the primary intention of fulfilling its mission and vision. Eric is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). Eric is also an EMDR Trained Therapist. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. In addition to a Masters degree in Psychotherapy Eric also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree.

Michael McCarthy is a Registered Social Worker in the province of Ontario and has completed masters-level work in Community Development and Social Work, with a focus on men’s emotional health and Nature-based Rites of Passage. He helps men who are struggling with relationships, addictions, anxiety, depression, and who feel directionless. He supports positive changes while addressing the deeper issues that cause men pain and confusion. The aim is to bring more peace, connection, and purpose in their lives and relationships so men can be proud of how they show up in the world. His approach is relational, trauma-informed, and complimentary to men who may be engaged in 12 Step work or other recovery programs. He is a proud father, a woodworker, and tends a small garden with his wife and daughter in Toronto.

Peter is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist CSAT. He is also a Canadian Certified Addictions Counsellor with the CACCF. Peter has extensive knowledge and experience in addiction and co-occurring related mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Peter was educated and clinically trained at the renowned Hazelden Betty Ford Center in Center City Minnesota. He focuses on building strong therapeutic connections with his clients through a structured, empathetic, understanding, and client-centered approach. Brian Moskowitz is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualiyfing) having completed his master’s in counselling psychology in April 2022 (Yorkville University). Through practicing meditation over the last 15 years, while engaging in his own therapeutic journey, Brian has cultivated an appreciation for the growth and healing that can occur by building awareness and self-compassion.

He is well-rounded, with 4 years of experience providing psychological support to individuals and groups in various settings, including music festivals, wellness retreat centres, clinical research studies, and non-profit organizations, such as the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario. With this background, Gabriel has developed skills in supporting men with anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, addiction problems, and childhood trauma. He also specializes in harm reduction and psychedelic integration.
As an experienced mindfulness and meditation practitioner, Gabriel effectively demonstrates awareness, non-judgment, and acceptance to meet clients wherever they are at. Suman Banik is a practicum student completing his Masters in Counselling Psychology in 2023. Suman believes that as we encounter various changes in our lives, certain behaviors can start or shift in ways that leave us feeling lost and in pain. Suman can help you explore these pivotal shifts by deepening your understanding of who you are, your relationships, and determining what tools will allow you to thrive in the ways you deserve to. Pardeep is a practicum student completing his Masters in Counselling Psychology in 2024. Pardeep has a solid academic grounding in psychology and a diverse, multicultural worldview that enhances his counselling skills. While working for the Department of National Defence, one of his roles was as an Employment Assistance referral agent. This duty unfolded interpersonal skills that enabled him to improve the lives of many people.
Pardeep is a trauma focused counsellor, as he himself is a trauma survivor.
His approach is holistic and integrated and draws from personal experience. He is a big believer in natural healing and personal strength. He utilizes Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help his clients.
